How to get to Hotham Hub

From Harrietville

Hotham Hub is just 4 km from Hotham Central. Continue through the village until you spot the Hotham Hub sign.

From Omeo

Hotham Hub is 8 km from Dinner Plain and 4 km before Hotham Central.

By Bus

Hop on the free village bus from any of the 12 stops around the village and jump off at Bus Stop 12 (Wire Plain). Busses run from sunrise until 12:30am.

Parking

Day parking is available at Hotham Hub. All vehicles must have a resort entry permit.

FAQs

Can I hire a toboggan?

You certainly can! Hire a toboggan from one of Hoys' 6 locations (including Hoys Rentals at Hotham Hub), Rays Ski Shop Myrtleford, Tirol Sports and Hotham Sports Dinner Plain.

Can I bring a school group?

Yes! School groups are welcome at Hotham Hub. Please pre-book your group session by emailing us on info.mthotham@alpineresorts.vic.gov.au or calling us on (03) 5759 3550.

Can I book a table inside the Hotham Hub?

There are limited tables inside Hotham Hub reserved strictly for guests who purchase food and drink from the Cafe.

Can I toboggan outside of the opening hours?

Use of the toboggan slope at Wire Plain (Bus Stop 12), outside of listed opening hours will be prohibited and will be monitored by Alpine Resorts Victoria Mount Hotham.

Can I bring my own food?

There is strictly NO cooking inside the Hotham Hub activity centre.

Hotham Hub cafe has a great range of meals and snacks to keep your energy up during snow activities.

A new Toboggan and Snowplay Hub at Wire Plain awaits, complete with a cafe and an upgraded outdoor space made for year-round adventures. Plus, snowmaking is firing up on the toboggan slope for winter 2026, keeping the snow fun going - even when the clouds take a break!

Toboggan and Snowplay Safety Rules

Only toboggan in designated areas.
Only toboggan during daylight hours with good visibility
Only approved plastic moulded toboggans are allowed. DO NOT use any other non-purpose built object.
Sit on your toboggan with your feet out in front. DO NOT sit backwards, stand, or go down hill face-first.
Children under 5 should toboggan with an adult. Children under 12 should be supervised by an adult at all times.
Only one person on a toboggan at any time (except for adults with young children).
Dress appropriately - hats, gloves or mittens, snow pants, winter jacket, snow boots. Bring a change of dry clothing.
Avoid wearing scarves or clothing that may get caught.
A helmet designed for winter sports is recommended, a biking or skate boarding helmet could be used as a substitute.
Walk up the side of the slope and leave the middle open for other users.
Use your feet to control your speed and to slow down.
